“Mikan Ve’eylakh”: The Guardians of the Hebrew Language in Berlin
Review by Yitzhak Laor in Haaretz, 5 January 2017.
The excellent Hebrew journal “Mikan Ve’eylakh”, edited by Tal Hever-Chybowski, is published in Berlin. In it, emigration — which is firstly determined by material conditions — becomes an ideological challenge to the Israeli establishment. My support for it stems from the fact that it is unclear where Hebrew culture might be maintained, in Israel or elsewhere. And this journal blazes in its desire to maintain Hebrew culture.
